A level ground screw base for entertainment decking overlooking the South Downs, completed in a single day. Our team surveyed the ground, engineered a pile schedule to the structural loads and delivered the installation with on-site load testing and a signed compression report on completion.
01. The brief
Create a stable, level foundation for new entertainment decking to overlook the gardens and South Downs views without damaging the surrounding lawn.
02. The challenge
The proposed footprint sat across a pronounced garden slope. Varying ground levels and a sensitive, landscaped setting made a conventional concrete base disruptive and difficult to construct.
03. Our solution
The pile positions were carefully set out before galvanised ground screws were installed to suit the changing levels. Adjustable heads created a consistent datum for the timber structure while keeping excavation and spoil to a minimum.

04. The outcome
